One of the best parts of the spring season, other than getting out of your house, is the fresh vegetables! With plenty of farmers markets and “pick your own farms” in the area, there are plenty of places to get the freshest produce around! Check out these farmer’s markets before you cook your next meal.
Starting on June 25th, head out to downtown Elk River at Park Plaza on Main for the Farmers Market. There are plenty of fresh, summertime vegetables, including potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, radishes, pumpkins, lettuce, squash, and more! Make sure to bring your own shopping bag to fill up on all the goods!
Blueberry Summer in St. Cloud allows you to pick delicious, fresh blueberries! The farm was started in 2007 and includes 1,700 blueberry bushes of more than an acre of pesticide and herbicide free blueberries. Pricing is around $3 per pint, and if you pick 2 gallons you get a free quart!
Grayson’s Berryland in Clear Lake is full of strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries! You have the option to buy already picked fruit, or pick your own as a fun family activity. Containers are provided if you choose to pick your own, so do not worry about bringing anything!
Goracke Trees may be best known for their Christmas trees during the winter, but they also have plenty of fresh fruit to enjoy! Known for their fresh raspberries, Goracke Trees is the perfect place to stop if you are planning on making any pies or jams this summer!
