4th of July Celebrations

No matter how you are planning to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday, chances are that your day will end with a fireworks show. With hundreds of fireworks shows going on around the state, there are plenty of events to choose from! Check out these 4th of July celebrations to help you and your family celebrate the holiday!

Aquila Park in St. Louis Park will be starting their fireworks show at 10 p.m. Admission to the event is free, and there will be various vendors and concessions available for purchase. Make sure to get to the event early to get a good viewing spot and to enjoy the live music that will start at 7 p.m.

After much debate, the Elk River City Council has decided to continue their 4th of July fireworks at Lion John Weicht Park. The Elk River fireworks show has been the topic of much debate after it was requested to move the show to a different location. However, the show will go on at its original location, promising a dazzling show!

Red, White, and Boom Fourth of July Celebration in Minneapolis will shoot off fireworks from Water Power Park starting at 10 p.m. The best viewing area will be on the riverfront between Stone Arch and 3rd Avenue Bridge. From 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., there will be live music to enjoy. The live music will be playing at Mill Ruins Park and Father Hennepin Bluffs Park and the family activities will be held at Father Hennepin Park.

The Delano 4th of July celebration is the oldest and largest 4th of July parade in the state, and you will not want to miss out on all the fun! The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade will be Tom Emmer, United States House of Representative from District 19B. The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. so make sure to get there early to get a good spot!

Woodbury is holding its own 4th of July celebration at Ojibway Park starting at 7 p.m. All the activities that are included in the event are free of charge, and glow necklaces and concessions will be sold starting at 6 p.m.

The city of Northfield invites you out to Bridge Square to enjoy a rush of adrenalin this holiday. Races will start at 9 a.m., followed by a kids’ carnival from 5 to 7 p.m. and a parade at 6 p.m. The fireworks show will start around 10 p.m., so make sure to stick around.
